The App Viewpoints provides information to all citizens and entities, public or private, free of charge.
Viewpoints collects your location data to allow, at any time, and for each viewpoint, to obtain directions on how to get there from the place where you are; allow suggestions of itineraries to visit the viewpoints and provide information on some utilities of interest in the areas.
The location data is used in the background, exclusively for the App's internal use and when it is running.
The information made available through Viewpoints can be used for personal or public use, as long as it is not intended for profitable or offensive purposes, having to expressly and prominently identify SRTOP as its author. The republishing of any content, for the purpose of dissemination or sale, requires the express authorization of SRTOP, without which it violates the current copyright legislation.
Viewpoints presents links to pages of other entities, in order to facilitate access to information related to the matters it deals with. SRTOP, despite carefully selecting the links that the App provides, is not responsible for the timeliness, veracity, quality or integrity of the information and content made available on these sites, nor for any resulting malicious or harmful actions, direct or indirect.
Any attempts to alter or load information on this App or any other action that may cause damage or jeopardize the integrity of the system, are strictly prohibited and will be punished in accordance with the legislation in force.
The entity responsible for processing personal data collected through the App is SRTOP, located at Largo do Colégio 4, 9500 Ponta Delgada, phone 296 206 200 and e-mail [email protected].
Through Google Analytics, also aggregately collects the following data:
• geographic origin (city, country)
• language
• device type
• operating system
• browser
• operator
• age
• genre
• date and time of access
• reference data addresses
• IP address
The collected data is processed, in accordance with the law, aiming to allow:
- the monitoring, by SRTOP, of all statistical information relating to the use of the App in an aggregated and anonymous way, and the data used for this purpose does not contain personally identifiable data or private information of users;
- conducting statistical analyzes made from this information to interpret the patterns of use of the App and to improve service levels and user satisfaction.
Users' personal information is not sold or rented to third parties, and only statistical information may be disclosed publicly or to third parties, under the terms of the applicable law.
Personal data is kept as long as the user is registered on the App. Once the registration is canceled, personal data is anonymized, keeping only the consumption data for statistical analysis.
We assume the following commitments to the App users:
• To proceed with the processing of data in a lawful and fair manner, collecting only the necessary and pertinent information for the purpose for which they are intended;
• Not to use the collected data for purposes incompatible with those of the collection;
• To guarantee the registered users the possibility to access, update and rectify their personal data through their account, or freely cancel their registration;
• To guarantee the rights to limit the processing of data, to forgetting and erasing personal data when required by the user, and as provided by applicable law;
• To have security systems that guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of the data and that prevent the consultation, modification, destruction or addition of data by unauthorized parties and that allow detecting deviations of information, intentional or not;
• To respect professional secrecy regarding the data processed;
• Not to perform interconnection of personal data, unless legally authorized by CNPD.
SRTOP can make changes to this Privacy Policy, which are always communicated to registered users.
