This viewpoint, at an altitude of 221m, is located by the Regional Road, parish of Porto Formoso, municipality of Ribeira Grande. There is a parking lot and access for physically disabled people, as well as a WC. You can have a view over the beauty of the northern coast, Ladeira Velha, the parishes of Porto Formoso and of Maia, the Chá Gorreana tea plantations and, whenever the weather allows, Ponta do Cintrão lighthouse and the Volcanic Massif of Sete Cidades. It is possible to sight the ruins of the old changing room of Ladeira Velha, where a thermal spring was used for therapeutic purposes.
